I just had my busiest week yet since starting my business in September. Three graduation cakes and two birthday cakes since yesterday. I just uploaded my pics. I love all the business but it shows me what things would make it easier with so many orders. A larger oven and mixer for sure would have cut a few hours. Great cake week!

Congratulations to you!! thumbs_up.gif I have 2 standing mixers and it has tremendously improved my efficiency in the kitchen. One of them is only a 4.5 quart KA, but it still makes a huge difference.

I have a 5 qt KA but I really need to look into getting an extra bowl for it. That would help alot.

lilytexas I would not even have attempted that! My hat is off to you. My little kitchen couldn't handle that even if I could. I only work part-time outside the home in addition to my cake business but there is no way I could even attempt that.

Trent, I am currently building a new site on MS Publisher and thinking of deleting my go daddy. I don't care much for the way they do business. I only have 5 pages and what few pics I have they say I am over? Kind of frustrating.

icon_mad.gif Can you believe my husband still complain, he told me that I supose to have my kitchen spot less and the house very clean, so my customers(mostly friends) don't see all the mess that I do in the kitchen. What do you think?

I'd tell him to grab a mop, or learn how to flat ice a cake! LOL! icon_lol.gif

I understand...sometimes during my really busy times, it is really hard to clean up the kitchen just so we can have dinner. My solution is a picnic in the basement or setting a nice table in our dining room (while my kitchen is still set up with the wedding cake in progress!). Sometimes we just have to go with the flow and work around the mess!
