It looks great you did an awesome job working with fondant for the first time i still havent tried it on a round. I just know I dont like doing it on sheet cakes.
I is VERY pretty!!! Matches the house from the other post, you should be proud! I'm glad it turned out great for you, go take a break now... LOL
I think this is just beautiful. I love the color, and it is a work of art! You should be proud.

UMMMM O.K. so where's the pics of the rest of that magnificent house? LOL!!!!! I remember thinking about it for awhile after seeing your first post!!! Awesome....but never could compete with the cake though!
What cake recipes did you use? Are they on here? Its a gorgeous cake! I'm so impressed!
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!
Would you mind sharing your recipe for Vanilla Caramel cake?
The cake is amazing I have my first wedding on November 3rd unless they change their mind! It is my husband's co worker but even I don't charge what I should it is a good opportunity. Your cake is super incredible and it matches the location, very rustic house I bet that wedding was lovely!
You should take a bow. Beautiful, elegant cake. The scroll work is impressive. Is this free-hand or impression? Congrats.
lovely cake.would you mind sharing the recipe for White caramel cake .It sounds delicious.
Sorry it took so long to reply..... long weekend and all
Ummm the white caramel cake, no real recipe, just white cake mix, vanilla pudding, the extra egg, milk instead of water.. substuted 1/4C liquid for caramel creamer, and added a few TBS of Dulche de Leche (SP?)
Thanks for all the compliments-- it was so stressful for me.. I had only done two 8" practice cakes with fondant before... but the fondant went pretty ok...
I am glad its over, thats for sure....
I had so many raves over the red velvet... people were coming back for more and more of those tiers.
gorgeous cake - so simple and elegant. does the pattern on the sides signify anything or is it purely decorative?
the building/grounds in the background are gorgeos too... where on earth is that? 100F at this time of year? Yaaaaaaoooohwza!
