I Need To Freeze Cake W/choc. Clay Bow- Will Bow Mess Up?

hey-- my friend wants me to make a cake for her to freeze for a week since i will be out of town the week of her birthday. anyway, she wants a chocolate clay bow on top. can i totally finish the cake with bow and everything to be frozen? will the chocolate clay crack or anything?
the alternative is to give her the bow separate to assemble on the day of the party but i'd prefer to give it to her in one piece if it would work! anybody done this? thanks!
