Hi to everyone !!
I finally got my first gelWilton colors and i'm trying to make my 1st BLACK and WHITE cake.
Don't know why but i can only color fondant GREY....How do i get it BLACK:is there any special way to do it ????

You have to put in a LOT! The Americolor super black is way more concentrated and does better. Some people start with brown (even use cocoa powder) and then use the black to make it darker.
I'd say just keep adding more black and it may get wetter or sticky, so you will need more powdered sugar to compensate.

almost impossible unless you use a whole jar then you will end up with a sticky mess...its easier to start with brown or just buy black fondant
I think I would try making the black from chocolate fondant if there is a lot of black on your cake. I just tried making a black batch from regular mmf yesterday and no matter what I added, more crisco, more powdered sugar, it just would not get right, and I had to just throw it away, and use some buttercream instead. I was very upset!

I have to use a lot of gel and usually get a great black. I have only needed smaller amounts of black MMF so it hasn't taken too much to achieve the deep black I wanted.
