I've been buying the 5 lb box of ready-made wilton fondant from walmart and I'm having a lot of trouble with it cracking and feeling dry no matter how much I knead it. Is MMF better to use? I guess I'm hoping for a miracle because I love the way fondant looks! But, I've ruined cakes with it and I'm tired of messing with it. I was hoping someone had a recipe that made rolling and presenting fondant a breeze! Any help would be awesome!

I made a cake using chocolate fondant last night and I was really pleased with the way it rolled out and transferred to the cake. It looked pretty nice too!!

You will find most recipes (and other brands) taste better than Wilton. there are recipes here in the recipe section.

There are also recipes at baking911.com and most decorating books have similar recipes.

My favorite it the Jaques Torres recipe for 'rolling fondant' on foodnetwork
