That's my first doll cake, which I made for my very good friend b-day. I didn't know that she is crazy about Barbies, so it was a double surprise for her. There are two cakes - bottom is chocolate sponch, top is vanilla sponch, both cakes are torted with mascarpone, qiumiq, philadelphia kind of cheesee and gooseberry gelly cream. The fondant is MMF painted with red food colouring. I will never paint of MMF again icon_razz.gif Please, excuse the quality of the pic, but I don't have digital camera, so took it with my mobile. I am very proud of myself since it's my first doll cake, first MMF and first so decorated 3D cake icon_biggrin.gif.
Thanks for looking!

I was also going to ask why she would never paint MMF again. Looks like a good job to me. I love the swirls on Barbie's skirt.

Thanks guys for your kind comments. Indeed I am pretty proud of my cake.
Why won't I paint my MMF again? well... maybe not on the dolly... the problem was that I couldn't come out with the nice finish of the corset from the beginning, so I did it in white and then painted on the dolly, since my food colouring (the only bloody type I can get here: green, yellow or red... nothing more) was fluid, it took ages to get it dried. Finally it helped to brush it with icing sugar, it almost imedietly took the moist away. I was pretty happy with the skirt though, so I migh try painting MMF again, but first I want to find some powdered colourings and try vodka/lemon extract trick.
Thanks to all posts I read here and instructions I was able to do it! thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
I am very happy that you like my dolly!
