I cannot quit reading everything on this site! How do any of you get any cakes made (or housework done, or dinner cooked)??? It's not kidding on the home page when it says that this site is addicting! I am learning a lot, and really appreciate how kind and helpful everyone is. You guys are all great, thanks for everything.

It's very hard to get work done. While I was at my fulltime job today I was on cakecentral. I'm suppose to be washing my daughter's clothes right now so we can ride out of town this weekend but I can't get off cakecentral.

I'm a cakeaholic! icon_biggrin.gif

Hmm, I am jealous of those who have access to cake central from work. icon_twisted.gif It is probably a good thing the store I work at has several websites blocked out unless it is somehow work related. icon_cry.gif

They just installed a new firewall at my work and while I'm not able to pull up a website, that I order office supplies from, I am able to pull up cake central still. Hehehe! I'm waiting for the day they discover this. icon_wink.gif

I know what you mean, lol. When a new formulary list comes out and we can't access it from work and have to print it out from home, that gets irritating. You actually have to fight to get the site you need to access from work. Hehe, we had an overnight pharmacist find a way around it though, lol. He would bring in his laptop and found an outlet he could hook up to when he got bored.

I too have a problem. I came to work early (7am) this morning because there's a lot I need to do to day. It's now 9am, and so far I've only spent about 15 minutes doing real work - the rest of my time has been spent here! Oops!!!

Confession is good for the soul.

I am in my corporate cubical in a corner thank goodness. My window blinds are shut behind me so the glare of CakeCentral will not reflect in the window.

Every morning when I get to work, I tell myself..oh just 5 minutes on CakeCentral. Well it is an hour later and I am still here.

I would like to create a CakeCentral Anonymous. Admitting you have a problem is the first step, right???

Signed,
CakesBySandy....AKA Cake junkie.

Happy posting, y'all!!! icon_smile.gif

My yard has gone to pot because I am on CakeCental so much. The dogs are starting to get lost in the grass. "Whitetrash Living" has called and wants to do an article on my house. What's a girl to do?????

Wow ! icon_eek.gif I would have never guessed there were so manyof us addicted from work. I guess if you can pull it up at work...then you are sucked right in. I come in to work...read CNN ...scan my work email and go straight to this site. I keep it minimized on my screen and look at it when no one is around ...which is a good amount of the time. I have seen all the wedding cake pics(round & Square) in a matter of two days!

Luckily, July and August are my slowest months at work. Plenty of time for CC! But even on my busiest days, I still pop in to CC on my lunch hour. I can't help it!

We're off to our lake house in VT tomorrow for 5 days. No TV, no cell reception, and (gasp!) no internet access. I'm sure I'll be going through serious CC withdrawal...my poor DH!

I'm so glad it's not just me! When my husband comes home from work and can't see me in the kitchen, he knows I'm downstairs at the computer and he yells, "Hey, Cake Central! I'm home!". I've even got my mother hooked on Cake Central and she doesn't even make cakes......but she loves to eat them!

OMG. I'm only one month into this insanity and I'm afraid my family is going to do an intervention, soon!

I used to keep the house clean and organized, fix a beautiful meal every night and stay up-to-date on my work with clients.

Not now.

The house is a wreck, I can't find anything. Bills are piling up, unpaid. And last night's dinner? I fixed a tuna salad and told everybody to make their own sandwiches. And my clients? Oh dear. I have GOT to spend some time with them. NOW!!!

But I just got my second paid cake order (due tomorrow), and there's a practice cake I want to do for the 4th of July (and send it in to hubby's work), and the only thing I want to do is hang out on CC and create cakes!

I love reading all your posts, you meet the nicest people here! When I was at work I would always have CC in the background and would have to make sure to minimize it whenever I walked away from my desk. Now I am at home recovering from foot surgery for the next 2 1/2 months and I am in heaven with no one to stop me from my addiction. Even in a wheelchair I am baking and decorating cakes and cookies! (Husband helps with pulling pans out of the oven, he's a big help (enabler)).
