I went to Michaels the other day and the only stuff they had was Wilton Shimmer dust (or something like that) for $6.69. You get 3 jars of the Shimmer dust. Wilton also has something like the lusterdust or pearl dust but it was $6.69 for one jar....and it didn't come in very many colours...so, being the cheapo that I am, I got the shimmer dust stuff but, I really don't them...maybe I wasn't using them right or something. I don't know. Anyway, is there a place that sells the other 'dusts' that would be cheaper then at Michaels and is not Wilton?

TIA

If not CC, how about Golders Kitchen - I have had stuff from there sent to me here and have always had good service, bu I haven't checked out their dust prices, take a peek at their site.

Not sure about your area, but out West here we have a couple of hobby stores that carry large stocks, and offer some amazing options! I found three stores that have decorating sections (some better than others ...) just by looking in my local yellow pages under 'hobby'. I spent a day with the book in the car and just drove to each store that advertised cake decorating in their feature adds. I found a store that has every shimmer dust, luster dust, pearl dust - you name it, in every color imaginable - for $2.19 to $5.00 something - depending on what it is, of course.

Off topic but also, check some of your local restaurant supplies stores. You can find amazing tools at great prices there also. I found these stores in the yellow pages under restaurant / kitchen supplies.
If you have an Asian market place go and check it out! I checked our Asian market as an after thought - whoa and behold, everything from edible flowers to specialty tools, and cheap! It stands to reason when you actually think about it, they are a culture that loves food presentation.
