I am going to attempt Cambo's gorgeous bouquet! The 4 inch pot and styrofoam ball seem tiny. Is that really what you use? If so, are these regular size cupcakes, or mini cupcakes? Maybe once I give it a try I'll get it, but I'll be lucky to fit 5 cupcakes, while she can fit 7-11 or more.

I haven't made them yet but, I did by the supplies. icon_biggrin.gif Hopefully this week I'll get a chance. Anyway, cambo uses regular size cupcakes in her bouquets. I think you'll be surprised at how many cupcakes will fit. icon_eek.gif

I thought the same thing until I tried it last night. I did it with mini cupcakes and fit 15 on with room to spare. Try it, you'll be suprised that you can easily get 7 regular ones in a 4 in. pot.

Yes the ball will fit tightly and above the pot (get the same size as the pot). You can get 6-7 regular size cc on it nicely.

Yes, they do seem tiny....but when they're finished the bouquet is what you want to "POP" and believe me, it certainly will! You can make them with mini cupcakes or standard ones. All of my bouquets are standard sized cc's! If you want a larger container, GO FOR IT! A 6" pot and ball will hold TONS of cupcakes and it's a beautiful display!

Good luck and feel free to post any questions you have! There are so many talented folks here that have made these and everyone has found their own little "niche" and personal style with them! TIP: If you have any questions, you may want to post them on the CC thread that's already running (twenty some pages now I think). That's generally where everyone is posting tips, questions and ideas! It's nice to keep them altogether in one thread to reference! But, you don't have to!

Cammie

Edited to add.....I place 11-12 cupcakes snugly using the 4" pot! 10-12 fit really nice, although I have done them with just 7 too! There are several versions with a different number of cupcakes in each one in my photos.

* The CC Bouquet pictured in the Tutorial contains 11 cupcakes, and that metal pail is 5" with a 4" styrofoam ball. I made it fit snugly into the pail with the green shred.

I just did them for mothers day. Yes, I used the 4 inch pots and balls as the base. I used 6 regular sized cupcakes. As you could see in my pics I could have fit at least 7 or 8.

I did one in a 6 inch pot and was shocked to discover that it used 18 regular sized cupcakes!

HOLY COW! I bet that was beautiful! Please post a picture of it in this thread so I can see what it looked like! The most I've used is 14.....

Here are some pics of 4" bouquets using anywhere from 7-12 cupcakes so you can visually see the difference. Keep in mind, the less CC's you use, the more "space" you're going to have between them, which I don't think is as attractive, but still very pretty!

P.S. I think the one labeled 11 cc's actually has 12 CC's!

Thanks for your help! I have baked the cupcakes. Need to wait for the kiddos to settle down to do the rest. 2 more questions...

When filling your cupcake liners, how far up do you typically fill them? 1/2 full, 3/4 full? I guess I put too much and they're overflowing, I'll have to trim them.

Where is the 20 page thread about these bouquets that you were referring to Cambo? I need to study up before I go any further! I've searched, but I'm having no luck.

Thanks again!

Although I usually fill my cc liners 2/3 full, I only fill them 1/2 full for cc bouquets because I want my icing to be "nestled" down onto the cupcake/liner really well.

Here's the monster thread!
