How do you store your cutters? I have always just had plastic cutters that I keep grouped by theme in a gallon zip type bags and stored in a box. Now, I am buying metal and I know they will get bent using that method......I have thought about peg board.....I have gotten great tips & recipes from you and I know you will have a great idea!
I recently purchased tin cookie cutters and the instructions that came with it said to wipe them with food grade mineral oil (lightly) and to store them in plastic bags. Anyone else do this or is this an unnecessary step? Please advise.
For a while I strung mine in a long wire and hooked the wire on a hook in my closet. Worked fine, but I got sick of taking all of them off when I wanted one in the middle. Might work better if you did smaller rings with similar cutters on them.
i use the rolling carts with drawers. i haven't had any get bent.
medium sized Sterilite boxes... they're cheap and I can fit 100 cutters in one
I have some types grouped in the inexpensive fake tupperware or ziplick/glad type containers. I then place these in a couple of the large and medium size 'hat boxes' that you can pick up at craft or discount stores. I also have some cutters loose in one of the hat boxes, and have not had any problems with bending - I am just careful when I look for something.
agreed!! the containers are nice to stack and easy to store, i havent had a cookie cutter bend yet even though i dont have lots of cutters this was my first thought, and seems to be the choice here
