Horrible Customer Update

Some of you may remember my rant from Monday about the very rude customer I had to deal with and that I still hadn't been paid...well my update was nice. The cake was for her mother...I received my check today (it was written from the mother which is something I don't understand because it was for her mother's b-day...do we pay for our own b-day cakes?) anyway...the mother had enclosed a very nice note and a $5 tip. This is an experience that has taught me a couple of things for the future...but also ended nicely.

Maybe the mother heard about how her daughter hadn't paid you yet for her cake and felt that such a beautiful cake couldn't go unpaid. That shows to me that the mother loved it even if the customer hadn't.
