I finished my first wedding cake and was able to get it set up and delivered without crushing it (my worst fear!) I couldn't get the picture attached , but its the only one right now in my photos. Quick question, does anyone ever follow up with the bride and groom--I'm dying to get their feedback!

Congratulations on your first wedding cake!!!

I usually send a thank you card for "allowing me to share in their special day. I hope the cake was as lovely as their day..." Sometimes I'll get a phone call, sometimes not.

Your scroll work is beautiful! I agree with briannastreats, just send a follow up card saying you hope everything went well. even if they don't give you feedback, maybe your card will impress them and they will tell other people about you thumbs_up.gif

Sending a card demonstrates you value them as customers and rounds off your customer service.

The card is a great idea. If you do chose to call, I would wait a week or two for them to get settled in. Wonderful job, very impressive!

Great job, your piping is just beautiful and so are your flowers. Did you take it stacked or in boxes?

Thanks for all the feedback!!!

tyty--I was too paranoid to drive with it stacked! I actually bought non-slip shelf liners from the Dollar store and put the tiers on those in my van so they wouldn't slip. Luckily, they never moved!
