I have had a lady ask for a grooms cake for her son's wedding. He wants an all chocolate wild pig cake. I don't even know where to begin. I told her I would try and see if I could before I gave her a definite answer. Anybody ever done this before?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You could probably make him lying down and start with the wilton lamb pan. Use rice krispies for the head!

Duff's is the best pig cake I've seen - could you maybe do a chocolate version of this? http://www.charmcitycakes.com/noflash/index.cfm?rd=cakes2&cat=4&id=245

I have seen some really good Arkansas Razorback cakes on this site. Maybe you could use one of those..

Did you do a search in the CC galleries? I saw a couple of good ones there just last week. I was looking for something to do for my sister in law's annual pig pickin.

Thanks everybody, I am going to try the practice run this week. Kind of scary trying to make something that ugly, but if that is what the groom wants I am going to try my best. All of you have been very helpful.
Thanks again.

The babies are cute though. icon_lol.gif My FIL raises them, not that we can get close enough to pet the babies.
The adults will eat you, no one goes in their pen without a gun.
You can hand raise them and they'll be very nice to you but no one else. One of my husband's cousins had one as a pet years ago and they finally had to kill it because only a couple people were allowed close to him.

The babies are cute, but the wild hogs are very scary when they get big. Those tusks are enough to scare me just looking at them. I agree with you, no way I would go in the pen.

Everyone has been so helpful. Thanks!!!!!!
