I haven't really been doing cakes for a year yet but I find myself getting worn out in doing it. I recently got done with school and I have done many cakes in the last six/seven months. Im just kinda burned out right now. Am i losing a desire to do this or is this somewhat normal? Just wondering if anyone else has ever felt like this. feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

That is perfectly normal... I made too many cakes in january and I just started to enjoy it again a week ago.

yup....I did one cake a week for people since the beginning of April....and last week, I was done! I told my husband I didn't want to make cakes for people I don't know anymore. For me, it's a lot of work. I'm obsessively organized, and things take me forever!

I could never do what the pros do on those 8 hour cake challenges! Such intricate stuff in 8 hours!

Now...if I could only DECORATE and not have to worry about baking, cooling, filling, stacking, etc....I'd be happy!
