What's the best way to attach it to the top of a cake? I have done candy melts in the past and it looked messy. I have a cake due tomorrow...well later today and it will have a 5 on the top of a 6 in round. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

I would say wire! You could wrap the wire in a snake of fondant and then bend it (fondant and wire together) into the number five and then just use the leftover to stick into the cake! ( if you're queasy about wire in cake do the straw method or cover the wire or whatever floats your boat) or you could pop the five on a plaque like I did with the 50 on the cake in my avatar?
