Everyone: On a lighter note, I purchased my 2007 wilton yearbook today. So between everyone making me feel better and getting my book today I'm truly out of the blue funk I was in early this morning. Once again, I want to thank everyone for giving me good advice and making me feel alot better. Thank you. Vicki0052

Well... tell us something about the book! I can't wait to get mine. Do they have lots of neat ideas in it?

I found mine yesterday at the super wal-mart I was so excited. they were kinda hiding behind the 2006 yearbooks and the tiered cakes book. whoever stocked them i dont' think payed attention to what they were, or cared to seperate them from the other books. Oh well!

I have to say i was actually kinda dissaopinted in this years book. There were a lot of new things, but nothing that really stood out (at least not a lot of stuff)

I guess I am spoiled by this website b/c I can get so many ideas from so many people

But I am defintiely glad I bought it for reference on hand. I did get an idea for a cake, but it was based off of one of their party decorations not a cake! LOL go figure!

So I broke down and bought the yearbook at Walmart today. Sad really cause if I would have waited a few more days I could have probably gotten at at Michaels and with a coupon or my discount. But I just couldn't wait. Plus I had a 30 minute wait to pick up a prescription and really didn't want to return home then go back.

I really like the yearbook this year, as did my mom who got to flip through it after me. As with every year there are plenty of cakes in there that aren't really something I would ever do, but there are also some really cute ones too. I really like the Cakes 'N More Party stand, and the fish and monkey cakes.

I also really like that they have used color flow in many different ways. As a WMI I like to show my students the yearbooks so they can see other uses for Color Flow, and last years only had 3 cakes with it. This year there is alot more.

Over all I think it has a great mix of different techiniques, love that they show different uses for fondant than just covering a cake and the cut out decorations. There is a mixture of cakes, cookies and candy ideas.

And yes places like CC and other message boards are a great wealth of information as well as cake ideas, but I don't think that makes the yearbooks less worth it.

I was at Michael's looking for the Yearbook. It wasn't there, but I found the ribbon pan! Has anyone else seen this yet? I love it. I have big plans for an Autism Awareness cake!

I love it when new pans come out. My wallet doesn't, but I do..........

I was looking through the wedding accessories in my Yearbook (which I got at Wal-Mart today). I bought the "50" gold cake topper for my in-laws anniversary cake that I'm doing at Wal-Mart at the same time. The cost was $9.95 at Wal-Mart and in the book they are $14.95 + shipping. Guess you have to watch the prices. I checked on their website (www.wilton.com) and the price on there is also $9.95. Go figure!

Anyway, I loved quite a few of the cakes. I have the new separators - the globes and the ones where you can put the pictures in it. I used the picture one for my son's graduation cake last month (in my gallery). I really like the look of them.

I would recommend this one!
