A good friend just placed an order for WEDNESDAY (day after tomorrow).
I will be making a round birthday cake for a 5 year old.
My question is as follows.
He is undecided between a race track and a clock.
Also, he wants gummy bears as the race audience.
This needs to be a round cake.
I was given free reign, so I could make a clock cake and incorporate the race track.
HELP!

I would do a race track around the outer edge of the top of the cake an have cars in the 12, 3, 6, & 9 spots. I'd put words around the outer edge that say something like "racing to get to your birthday on time". The gummy bears could be around the outer edge under the words.

That was the first thing that popped into my head. I love the idea of gummy bears and the race track. That might even work for my husband (we just got back from the NASCAR race in Michigan over the weekend)
