Was at my local craft store tonight and as usuall I hit the clearence section first. I found there great little items called "Push Mold by Sculpey". Makes darling little people or teddy bears. I wonder how this would work with fondant or gumpast?? I am going to wing it this weekend and see how it does. Says it works with clays, plaster of paris and candle waxes. I bet it would do just as well with fondant!!!

I have used them for non edible decorations only as I do not know if it is safe to eat after using the mold.. if you use it you need to use some cornstarch or icing sugar in the mold other wise I find the fondant or gumpaste tends to stick and it can be hard to remove from the mold but if you use the cornstarch/sugar it does a good job and the finished product is really cute...hope this helps

I just bought the cat and dog one the other day at Jo-Anns! I thought they would look great in fondant. Should they be dusted or lightly coated with anything first? I want to try and play with them this weekend!

I have the "seasons" one, but have yet to really try it out. I tried a leftover piece of fondant once and it seemed like it would work--the details are worry me for me since I am a detailed oriented person but not quite a teeny tiny detail oriented person if that makes any sense.

They are cute though!!!

I have the Teddy Bear and I love it. The bears in the Bears and Bow pic in my gallery were made with it. I am going to Michael's tonight for my Fondant and Gumpaste class so now I can't decide - buy some of the new Wilton stuff or the molds!

I definitely want to find and try these. Looks like a great asset, since I am terrible at trying to sculpt anything!!

I have all of these. I've actually only tried the teddy bears & sea creatures & they turned out great! I can't wait to get the chance to use the others. I've used fondant & gumpaste to make them. I've always instructed clients not to eat them b/c of the question of food safety. Who would eat them anyway?

I bought the same one awhile back but never used it because I was unsure if they would be safe to eat. Anyone know for sure?

I got all mine @ Micheals, but I've also seen them @ JoAnn & AC Moore in the clay section. I think they were about $6 ea, but since I'm so cheap, I used coupons to buy ea one.
