If the wedding is at 4:30 with the reception immediately following...what time would you typically like to set up your cake??? I have a wedding cake due this weekend, it's for family so its not pressured, but I still want it to be great icon_biggrin.gif I don't want to set it up to early and have it be yucky by the time it is cut.

Thanks in Advance

I have always set mine up a couple hours before the reception start time. That way if there is any repair work to be done, I have time to do it. Also, you don't have an 'audience' that way. Your cake will not turn "yucky" in a few hours.

I like to get there about 2 hours before the reception will begin (or wedding if they're both at the same site) -- that leaves me an hour for setup and an hour buffer zone. So depending on how much setup your cake will require, I would set it up at 2:30 - 3:00.

Good luck! thumbs_up.gif
