Hey-- I'm trying to decide if I should offer 11x15 size as an option for sheet cake. Right now, my 1/4 sheet is 9x13 and 1/2 sheet is 12x18. It seems like such a big jump between the two. Do any of you offer 11x15 as an option in between?

If so, do you think 20-30 servings for a double layer is about right? I'd love to hear from you all! Thanks!

I typically use a jelly roll pan that's 11x13 but always do a 2 layer. Wilton lists an 11x13x3" as serving 48 for one layer. Depending on what size you slice the servings, you could get 20-30 or more out of a double layer I would think. I like the size of 11x13 better than 9x13. More space to get creative on!!!!!!!

I offer the 11X 15 - and get a lot of takers on it. I always double layer my sheet cakes too - I think one layer look too short, and that way the customer gets a yummy filling too!

I offer the 11x15 too. I do not do double layers on the sheet cakes...I just make sure it is a nice full cake and ice it. I don't get many orders for it though - folks usually want the 9x13 or the 12x18 when they order from me. It's nice to have it for when you do need it though!

I use the 11x15 as my half sheet and this is my most popular cake! I use the 12x18 as a 3/4 sheet. I think it depends on the area. icon_smile.gif

Yes, the 11 x 15 is my 1/3 sheet and will yield approximately 25 servings 2" x 3". I bake a full 2" layer, split and fill.

Hello........

I too offer the 11 x 15 and the 9 x 13 as a "top" cake to the 11 x 15. I also tell them that even though they are feeding approx 20-30, the 9 x 13 can be "take home" pieces of sweetness... everyone who orders a 11 x 15 love the 9 x 13 to go with it. I don't charge extra for the 9 x 13, I just tell the orderee' that it's on the house..........

have a nice day.........

I use 11x13 and 12x18 I just bought 12x15 but haven't use it yet. Anything smaller I use round or sq. pans. I don't use 9x13.
