Hi,

I'm new to both cake decorating and this site. I'm so glad I found it, I've seen so much good info already. I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I was wondering what size pan some of you use for different sized cakes (1/4 sheet, 1/2 sheet, ful sheet)?

Thanks!!
Angie

13x9, 12x15 & 12x18. I bake one cake then split it & fill w/buttercream & frost.

I'm not sure if there is a standard size for 1/2 or full..I think its just where you live and what you want to use.

I have used both 12x18 and 11x15 for a half sheet, but I have found it's really hard for me to find boxes to fit a full sheet cake if I use 2 12x18s so I usually use 2 11x15 for a full...unless it needs to feed 100 or so then I use the 12x18s and just make my own box.

Though I just ordered boxes from sams club so we'll see what size they are..maybe they'll be big enough for the 12x18sicon_smile.gif

I never use the phrase "sheet cake". I give measurements. I hear so many differing opinions on what size is what, so when I meet with someone I just use measurements and servings.
