Boy do I need help!!! I have been asked to make a cake for a skydiving event. They want a sheet cake with their logo on it. I don't want to do just that though. I want to figure out a way to bring in a skydiver skidding in for a landing. Problem is that I have never tried to "make" figures before and what would I use for the parachute? I guess I could try to mold a figure and kinda adapt it. Any ideas for how the figure could hold the hold up the parachute and what could I make it out of?
Anyone have any thoughts?
I would be more inclined to have the skydiver landing on the cake so that the parachute can kinda lie flat behind him/her. You could even make it a little humorous by having a dent in the cake where the person lands. Instead of having a target on the cake for them to land on how about having the company logo as the landing target? Post pics when you're done - I'd like to see this one!

Wow! That last idea sounds great!
I was thinking that if you wanted the parachute in the air that you could prop that up with wire? Maybe do something with really thin gumpaste? Just a thought but, I think julesn20716 had the great one!
Good luck! Can't wait to see pics!
