I made my first batch of mmf and I have a quick question about it's texture. It feels kind of gritty. Is this right? It's not a major grit...only slightly but I just wanted to make sure I hadn't flubbed it up before it goes on the cake. icon_wink.gif

Thanks!

I've made it several times and I do not recall it feeling gritty. Maybe you should knead it a little more with shortening to see if the grit goes away. I'm not an expert so maybe someone else can be of more assitance.

That fixed it thumbs_up.gif , thank you! Too bad the cake has turned out to be the ugliest thing on the planet. lol As long as it tastes ok, I don't give a rip. It's only a family cake.
Thanks again.
