I want to make a cake for my son who just finished learning about the Creation of the world in Genisis. I am not sure if i should make a cake or cupcakes. I just wanted some ideas of different things to do. Fish, animals, night/day, stars moon, sun etc...
any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks

multi-tier cake

bottom tier -- the waters teaming w/ fish, whales, etc (all cookies)

middle tier -- the earth -- animal cookies

top tier -- the sky --- birdies

then stars, moon, sun sticking out of top on wires (fondant or very small light-weight cookies)

----------

this would look real neat if all the tiers the same size round -- so you get that super tall tier effect

and on the top -- use a half-sports ball for a "globe" effect -- complete w/ continents as deco.

and for over the top ---

do one side top to bottom as "night" and the other side top to bottom as "day" with animals, etc. appropriate to each!

Doug has got it going on. He is so creative. I love the idea. I can see the three cakes hovering above each other. The bottom layer hovers too. I would use clear pillars.

Enough said, I certainly can't add anything that would be better than Doug's.
