I was wondering if there was a tool for applying dragees that will hold them in place. I saw someone using a tweezer-like device on a cake show, but could not get a close enough look. The dragees just pop right out of my regular tweezers, and my fingers are too cumbersome to get a precise placement without risking poking the icing. Any tips?[/i]

I don't know if there is a specific tool. I have a tweezer with teeth that seems to hold them. You could also try something sticky on the ends of the tweezer. Museum glue, poster glue, something sticky but not wet.

good luck.

Here's the perfect excuse to buy the SugarVeil icing dispenser system - it has a dragee sucker-upper tool for perfect placement of dragees thumbs_up.gif

That is going to be my next cake toy! I think I fling as many pearls on the floor as I get on a cake. I find them weeks later under things.

When I was looking for an air brush I found something called an air Pen. They run about $100 and they do the same thing but I found mine brand new on Ebay for $12.00 - SCORE!
