Stacked Cookies (To Look Like A Wedding Cake)
Baking By jacksjoyce Updated 11 Jun 2006 , 3:51pm by jacksjoyce
Help please. I have a custome requesting a cookie that looks like a wedding cake...he's bringing a picture that I haven't seen yet, but he's decribed it as several cookies stacked and decorated to look like a cake. (He's the caterer)
Wanting to appear as if I know what I'm talking about could someone out there clue me in to how these are done? Are they like petit fours when it comes to icing them? Help please!
ngarza07 did some cute ones in the gallery! Is this what you mean?

Martha Stewart had a cookie favor in one of her magazines.( I cant remember when it came out ) but it was several cookies (6) three different sizes iced w/royal icing on top..........dried.. then stacked to look like 3 teired wedding cake....top cookie had a small gum paste flower on top.(forget me not) they were boxed in clear boxes..............really cute.
I hope this helps.
I don't know if this link will work, but I saw these on the Martha Stewart website (and magazine) awhile back and I just LOVE this idea! I've been trying to talk a friend of mine into doing these for her wedding. There are so many possibilities on the way to decorate them!! So cute!!!

P.S - If the link doesn't work, just go to Martha's website and do a search for "Sugar-cookie cakes".
Hope this helps!
Those are adorable and very elegant for favors. Anyone have any idea what you could charge for those? Just curious.
I would charge about $10.00-$12.00 each..considering there is 8 or so cookies and icing and the packaging. It all adds up!!
Those wedding favors from Martha stewart are so cute. Almost makes me want to go make sugar cookies right now just to test them out! hehe. I am definitely filing that idea!

You guys are GREAT! I keep telling my husband about my "friends" on cakecentral. If I need advice...there you all are. Thanks again. I didn't have a clue what they looked like. Now I can act like the "professional" they think I am!
