Is there a specific cutter you use to make a sunflower out of gumpaste?
Thanks,
Amy

There are lots of cutters for sunflowers and lots of methods to make them. You can do them so that you individually wire all 32 petals......

I like this one. You can add multiple layers if you want a really full sunflower.

I love those PME cutters that BlakesCakes linked. It cuts and veins the petal in one go.

The PME plunger cutter is nice, I use it frequently. Two layers for a sunflower. I don't really use the veiner though, I use a celstick to create some motion and make the leaves ultra thin.

I just wish that those that make the cutter would send generic instructions with the cutter. It would help out someone like me who is allergic to real flowers and can only get close to sugar ones.

The sunflower below was made with the PME set of cutters. I made the center out of rice krispie treats covered in chocolate fondant and then dipped in brown & gold sanding sugar. These were on spaghetti so that they would be completely edible.
