I guess I caught the cupcake bouquet bug. Tonight was my first night trying to make one. I wanted to make one for my paraprofessional. I plan to make on for my mom for Mother's Day. What do you think? My daughter thinks the yellow bouquet is prettier than my first one. I am taking Wilton's first course on Friday night. Maybe I will learn how to use the tips properly and produce better results. I plan to make one with chocolate cupcakes in a few minutes. I waiting for them to cool. Please be honest on how to improve these bouquets.

I like the first one better too, although the yellow one is pretty too=) I do love the look of the icing roses on the CC bouquets, makes it look more like a flower bouquet. That is prolly why I like your first on the best, they look like pretty flowers! Jen

I think they are both wonderful, I just love them. Can I ask a silly question, how do you get them to stick in the pot... Also does anyone know whether there is a tuitorial on the site for the cup cake bouquets.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I'm taking both to school today so my paraprofessional can choose the one she wants. Then I'm giving the 2nd one to a fellow teacher who was deeply affected by the death of one of our teachers last week. I am planning to make one for my sister and mother this weekend for Mother's Day.

I too love the first one - the one with the pink flowers. However, the yellow one is nice too!

Certainly NOT a dumb question. Bev55, I would like to know which tip you used on your first one as well (the peachish - pinkish) one, if you don't mind. I love everybodies bouquets! There have not been any yet that I don't want to duplicate! (yeah, I have no creativity myself icon_redface.gif ) I know Cambo uses the 1M tip, but other than that I don't know what the others use. Oh, I just can't wait to try these tonight and harmon, have fun with you classes! thumbs_up.gif

I used the shell border tip. I'm not sure what number it is since I only have a few tips. I got this tip in a beginning cake decorating kit I bought at Walmart. I used this tip on both bouquets. The only problem I had was the flower one didn't travel well. In fact, the cupcakes started to separate from the paper liners. The yellow bouquet traveled beautifully. My paraprofessional really loved it. I had to rearrange the flower cupcakes, and then I gave it to a teacher at my school who recently had a second baby. Also I used canned icing on the yellow bouquet and buttercream on the flower bouquet. The canned icing was easier to use and hardened better. The white cake might be too light for cupcake bouquet. I am going to try a yellow or lemon cake next. I hope I was able to help.
