[/i]I just finished Course 2. For my last cake I did the basketweave with the color flow birds. My birds in the beginning was blue, but as each day passed, they began to look like to different shades of blue. My instructor couldn't tell me anything. Can anyone tell me what went wrong. I followed the directions to a tee.

I think I read somewhere that color flow could fade with time .. but I'm not sure

Actually, a lot of the icing colors will deepen over a few hours or a day, that is why it is recommended to mix your colors ahead of time so you can be sure the colors are going to be right. Janice

Did you have your cake near a window or near bright light? That will fade color flow colors~
