I wasn't sure where to post this, but I'm sure you ladies (and Gents) can help...

I've just made 2 11x15 cakes, one choc, one van. and after leveling them I simply cannot bring myself to throw away all that extra cake from leveling. I thought I'd seen somewhere something about making cake balls out of it?

Can you all give me your recipes or ideas for this? I'd love to put the 'leftovers' to good use....

Thanks!!

Gretel

If you go to forums and use the search term 'cake balls' there are a number of threads. I was going to post one, but see a few people have beat me to it. The different threads all have some pointers, or variation of the recipe, you may want to browse them. Most seem to turn out yummy (Though look at the ingredients, cake and frosting what is not yummy about that!)

I used the above recipe for my leftovers. It was awesome. I used some orange juice as it was the only type of liquid I had on hand. Everyone loved them so much. So much in fact that I didn't even get to dip them in chocolate or dust in powdered sugar. They were gone before drying much.
