I just want to bake cakes for a living but right now that's not feasible for me. Instead I work fulltime for Division of Children and Family Services. I hate it. Parents abusing their children and thinking it's your fault, bad pay, and worst of all horrible bosses. Sorry just needed to vent.
Mrswalter -- I worked for 4 years for the state family protective agency. It almost drove me crazy and getting out was the best thing I ever did. Between the terrible things you have to see on a daily basis, low pay, and the bureaucracy of state government, I know how you feel.
WOW I love my job. I am a housekeeper for rich people. I pretty much have reign of their house all day long, all by myself, and clean, cook, do laundry and pick up their kids at school. And I get paid very well too. I believe everyone should love their work and I feel sorry for those who don't. I used to be a foster parent back in the 80's and I can sympathize with you people that are social workers and those who work with 'parents' that are unfit. I had to get out of foster parenting because I couldn't stand the system anymore.
That is the plan, but right now I need the benefits. Hubby needs some major dental work and he is finally going to get that started the end of this month. I am a firm believer that if you hate your job you should quit, and up until the supervisor change I didn't exactly "hate" it. It is just that we are in a spot right now where we need it.
I don't hate my job but it is not what I desire to do for the rest of my life. There are some people here that make it some what unpleasant.
I would rather be baking and pursuing my other dream.
