I'M TICKED WITH "American Cake Decorating"! I mailed them a check on 2/2/06 for a 1 year subscription. They cashed my check on 4/6/06. I have not received one issue and today I get an "early renewal notice" in the mail telling me my subscription expires in October 2006 and I can renew now at a special rate. What kind of a fool do they think I am? Needless to say, they will be hearing from a very unhappy subscriber.

I'm sorry to hear you've had problems. I renewed online, paid with a credit card, and did not receive the magazine. I waited for about 45 days, then I emailed them. They promptly emailed me back saying they didn't have record of my subscription and asked for a copy of my bank account. I faxed that to them and they responded back immediately saying they had corrected the problem and also mailed me the current issue immediately. Then 2 weeks later I received the new magazine out (peresonally mailed out) not once, but twice! They said they didn't want me to miss out. I mailed the extra copy to my sister...I love the magazine so I suggest you email them ASAP, it worked for me.

I suscribed as well (payment was taken on March 29th) and haven't received anything. I just emailed them as well. I better hear something SOON!!!!! I've heard that some people have had problems with them.

I subscribed and made a credit card pymt on April 25th. I hope to receive my first issue some time this month. Their site said the June/July issue was to mail on June 1st. I hope I get it! I checked Barnes and Noble, but they didnt have it.

Okay, so here's the latest update. I just sent an e-mail to the Editor in Chief. Then I called the Customer Service number (800-869-6882 for anyone who needs it!). I spoke to a Cust. Service Rep. I explained the whole thing, sent check in Feb., it was cashed in Apr., NEVER rcvd. 1 issue --- blah, blah, blah. Think it went in one ear and out the other. She said, oh-- I see here your subscription expires in October. You get 1 more issue. icon_mad.gif I wanted to say WHAT? DID YOU HAPPEN TO HEAR ANYTHING I JUST SAID? I had to very slowly and distinctly explain the whole thing again. Then she was totally confused, put me on hold and came back and said it was because I had subscribed, they had billed me, I never sent a payment so they canceled me, and then later I decided to send a payment? WHAT? I had heard of other people having problems and now I believe all of the horror stories. Anyhow, (taking a deep, deep breath) Within 2 weeks I am to receive the Apr/May issue and the June/July issue and according to the Rep. who still sounded confused to me, I'm should receive 5 more issues after that. I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Good luck to all of you. Hope you get your magazines on time and the amount of issues you should receive!

Sorry to hear about your experience. the same thing happened to me with another magazine. (BHG)
Months went by til i finally noticed i was not recieving anything. i called them and they asked for my email verification, i faxed it. I started getting my mags right away after that.

it's good to know about these types of things, it'll definately make me think twice before subscribing to them.

I subscribed and was sent 2 issues within a month....then nothing after that. I called and asked what was happening and where were my next issues and they blamed Canada Post. (Mean! Canada Post rocks!!) thumbsdown.gif

I subscribed in Nov 05 and after several calls I finally recieved it end of Feb. 06 2 copies gave one to my daughter. I did recieve the next issue on time. Hopfully its all good now!!!

This seems to be a problem for a lot of people (I think there was a thread like this in the past?). I had the same thing happen to me when I first ordered - paid, never received anything, had a difficult time with customer service.
I just got my renewel notice in the mail, not sure if I'm going to renew or not. I like Mailbox better, I think.
