Hi. I wanted to play around with some cupcakes tonight and discovered I am out of vegetable oil. Can I substitute crisco sticks or butter for the oil? If so...equal amounts? Thanks

If you have apple sauce you can substitute with that in equal amounts. I use that more often than oil in my recipes and no one knows unless I tell them (I usually don't).
