Was wondering, the large rolls of foil I find at the florist supply or craft stores, can they be used for cake boards? No where on there does it say food safe unfortunately. Tired of using aluminum foil on mine. Another quesion, when you use the larger cake platforms/drums (forget the name - are about 2" tall) that wilton sells, do you get them back or are they just cardboard that gets tossed?

Florist foil is not food grade foil. they definitely make a better looking cake board. If using that foil it is best to place your cake on a circle to matchthe size of the cake and then place that cake (w/circle) on the larger foil covered board. there are some food grade foils out there. they are a bit more expensive and florist foil is definitely more available. pm me if you want more info.

Some florist foil is food safe. Depends on the manufacturer. Allofoil (might have misspelled that a bit - mght be Allufoil) makes a florist foil that is food safe.
