I seem to remember that Jackie and Heath stated that if you wanted to that it was more than ok to have your children have their own log in on this site. I know that there are people on here that under 18 and they enjoy this site just as much as the "grown-ups".
That is what I was wanting so that the kids could easily identify their peers (age wise) and compare, learn, chat etc. Is it possible??
Why cant we create one of the freeweb sites for this on our own. Just for kids. I work in the IT field and would be happy to assit anyone else familar with web design? Can we do this maybe name it something like justforkids.com or something just brain storming here. Does not have to be anything fancy..............

as memory recalls, this isn't the first time this idea has been floated several times before.
so it is nice to see it is "on the list" for the future
as for contest age groups -- who says Jackie and Heath have to do all the work? with an entry form that asks for age ranges (like so many I encounter -- thankfully none w/ the entry "old as dirt!" -- such as at HGTV and Food Network.com) there has to be at least one person here, like our dear, fabulous SquirrlyCakes who could take on the sorting job if it could not be software based.
Personally, I would prefer it NOT be a contest, but rather just galleries. They have enough competition already and more to come as they get older so for now keep it fun.
A gallery is a possibility that I will discuss with Jackie.
As for the entry form idea, we are not going to implement any contest that requires manual management, even if the management is being done by a user.

i think that if our kids put a cake on here that it be in a gallery just for them, so we always know what we are looking at & they can gostraight to it to look at creations from kids w/out having to have them mixed in w/"parent's cakes"

Thats great!! I totally understand about not being able to have contest but I am so thrilled there will be a gallery just for the little ones to post their creations in!! 
I bet that gallery will fill up quick....
YAAAAAAAAY! Oh I am so excited. My 10 year old just did his first royal transfer last night, but it broke before he could get a picture. This is so great! Thanks Heath and Jackie!!
