What about doing a large sheet cake. On one end do a little building to represent the college. Make a little parking lot with a few cars and a road leading to a driveway on the other side with a house and her sitting on the porch with the gkids. Or have a car halfway between with her driving it. Maybe have a few bluegrass instruments around the porch or something. If you're not up to doing people, you could put a rocking chair on the porch with a few instruments and a few toys. Sorry, my creative cap isn't on well today. HTH.
