I want to do a sheet cake and make each side a different color. So I want the top white, and then each side different. How do I get a nice clean edge where the two colors meet? Any help would be appreciated.

How about just doing a star or shell or dot border line down each corner in white. That will create a break in the colors and will camoflauge any mistakes, plus it will tie in with the white on top of the cake.

How about using a strip of fondant on each side?

Good morning Sarah, you could do zigzag on each side with your different colors, it makes a real pretty effect and is real easy to doicon_smile.gif

Thanks for the ideas. The fondant would probably be the easiest, but I'm doing two large sheet cakes and I'm giving them away for free, so I'd rather not use fondant. I like the idea of putting a white stripe at the corners to cover where the meet and the zigzag. Iris: What do you mean exactly buy doing zigzags?
