I wanted to share my first wedding cake which I made for my daughter. All the research and all your great help really paid off and I want to thank you all. I wound up using BC with faux fondant technique and fondant daises and pearls. I also made a second cake which was chocolate.

Very pretty - hope my first try at a 'real' wedding cake (instead of the bizarre things I'm asked to do for weddings!), turns out as nicely!

What a beautiful wedding cake. I'm sure your daughter was proud and delighted at the wonderful job you did. When did you find the time between "Mother of the Bride" duties?

Thanks everybody! The pans were 14, 10, and 6 inch. When I bought the pearl pillar set I was disappointed in the fact that the base pearls were a different color than the others, but really you couldn't tell once it was all in place. Also, I could not find the 16 inch plate in the smooth edge so had to use the scalloped edge. The new pillars require the plates with the X type legs instead of the round legs which was a challenge also, but I'm sure soon everyone will have the new plates to go with the pearl bases. Thanks for all your compliments.
