Hi, im looking into a new mixer, im looking at the KitchenAid Artisan 5quart and at the KitchenAid Professional 5+5quart. Which would be best, and what do you use. Thanks for the help.

I've got the Kitchen Aid professional 5 quart, 475 watt mixer. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this one and it is really paying off. I absolutely love it. I purchased it from Costco which was offering a pretty decent price on it. I'm so glad that I decided on this one..

Ooooh, Is someone asking for an opinion? Because EVERYONE is entitled to mine. icon_razz.gif

My brother in law was asking my opinion. I said any Kitchen Aid is better than no kitchen aid. He ended up with the artisan. Even after I told him that I would prefer that the motor not be the part that moves. I like the one where the bowl goes up and down. I think about the old small KA my mom had growing up and all the times that motor banged down. Gives me a cold shiver. Though I think the Mixer is still going strong. Probably saved my brother's life as he was holding the new kitchen aid in its box in his lap when our car slammed into a Power truck on the highway. Hey, this is an emotional subject for me. icon_wink.gif
