Every time I make cupcakes the liners look terrible!!!

What am I doing wrong? I buy cute liners and they always look like the cake is comming thru it.

Does this happen to anyone else?

What do I do to stop this?

The cupcake looks very nice. it is quite common for the papers to discolor. You can drop in into a second paper or use two in the start.

But don't worry, the cupcake is so cute, they won't be looking at the papers.

Thanks I'll try using 2 papers next time.

Just paid $10.00 on ebay for bob the builder cupcake liners, sure would hate for those to get ruined!!

If it were me, I would do a test first. Bake a couple in plain papers, then see if they fit into a new Bob paper. As the cake bakes, it will change shape a bit. If you can drop the plain paper into the fancy one, you will save yourself some money and some work for maximum results.

To me it looks like you may overfill your cupcakes a bit. They do discolor and I may be wrong but it looks like there is a bit of cake on the site of the liner also. I have tried the trick of dropping a cooked cupcake into a nice liner and it never fits tight leaving space between the two. The only way I can think of getting around this is to pipe a very thin line of BC around the top of the cooked liner before dropping it into a clean one. Hope this helps.
