Hi guys,
I want to know what's the best way to transport cake in a car/van?
How do you all transport cakes? I have a van and I haven't transported cakes too many times BUT whenever I have to me and my husband loose sleep over it!

I have to deliver one tomorrow. Any suggestions are welcome.
Mine is a 12" round cake. No stacking.

Thanks

Personally I love storage totes. They are deep, so I can put a lid on them and stack easily if they have to. I put a towel on the bottom of them to make them less slippery, and they come in about a million sizes.

I use that rubbery shelf liner. Put a piece under your box and it won't move. No need to lose sleep. icon_smile.gif

I use those also, I put non-slip rubberry shelf roll stuff ( I forget the name) on the bottom and place the box in there, I also put some on the bottom of the cake box and place my cake in the box... nothing moves.

Then go slow and take side roads.

Here on this site, check out this search, just scroll down. icon_cool.gif

If you go to wilton's they have instructions on how to do it as well.

Good Luck.

I used a cooler today to deliver a wedding cake...it needed to stay as cool as possible for a 2 hour ride...I put plastic ice paks in with it and the cake board just fit so it was snug, no movin' around thumbs_up.gif

Dollar store non-skid shelf paper works great. Under the box and in the box under the cake board. Great schtuff! Plus comes in cute colors icon_smile.gif
