I have tried this technique twice and both times it did not come out as well as I had hoped. For those of you who have been successful with it...what type of brush do you use and what tip do you use to outline? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I also use tip #2 and a small pointed brush. Are you dipping your brush in water before trying to pull the frosting?

Ok....I was using the wrong stuff I think. I was using tip #3 and the wrong kind of brush. I guess I will try again. Thanks for the help!!!

I use a small amout of piping gel added to water to pull with. It slows down the drying time so you can pul alll you need.

You'll also get better results if you invest in a good paint brush. I use a nylon or natural bristle brush. The embroidery comes out smoother and more refined. The thick bristled "kiddy" brushes tend to make the icing clumpy.
