I Have Looked For A Thread About This.....

I am making cake balls for a 16th birthday party. My friend gave me the invite to match the color as closely as possible. She wants a rose color much like the one I see around the posting area. I bought pink candy melts. I also bought a bag of red candy melts & some candy colors..
Could I get a rose kind of color from adding in the red melts or the red candy color? OR should I just leave them the light pink color?
Hmm..I'm not sure what to tell you. I would start off melting the pink and see if you like it. And if not, maybe you could just try adding a little red to just a small sample batch and see which one you like more. I like the pink color myself, but I'm not sure what you are exactly looking for. I would just experiment with a little of it and see what you think! I hope that helps!!
Hi!
I would try adding red melts to the pink and see what happens. If you have to make more than one batch, so you'll have to try and remember how many red melts you added to your pink melts so you get the same color again. ![]()
Good luck.

if you want to get the rose color i think the pink plus red wont really do it. i think you might have to add a different color like brown or violet. how about throwing 2 red melts and 1 chocolate together....then add white melts to lighten it to the shade u want. let us know how it goes.
I decided to just do the cake balls in pink. I was afraid that if I had to add this or that, the colors might not match. Which is good. The mom called today to tell me the colors have been changed to the new green/pink combo. Yeah for me! Thanks everyone for the advice.
In order to get rose, you need to have purple, and red, maybe some pink and white to lighten it up.
We learned this in a class, when a bottle of pink was misslabeled and it was purple. we added, red, white and then pink and the result was rose.
Good Luck.
