A customer just requested a cake for her soon to be 3 year old daughter.. She likes Barney and she likes Snow White... Snow White is the only princess she likes, but she doesn't just want a Snow White cake it has to be Snow White and Barney together.. Now someone please tell me how these two can possibly go on a cake without it just looking plain weird?
Thanks!
Maybe not one for your portfolio, but I bet the little kid will love it!
I love the picture... that's a great idea.... Thanks for all your help... I'm going to do just a sheet cake and hope for the best!
I like Barney in a Snow White dress. Or Snow White could be watching Barney on TV...
Comes from having 3 granddaughters and their off the wall requests. But if it makes them happy then go for it!
The latest request from one of my DGD...5th birthday next month and she wants a "Princess wearing a red dress." So I find a picture of a cute cartoonish princess wearing a beautiful red gown and she has the prettiest black curls just like my granddaughter...my DGD say's "that's not a real princess, Nana!" So she changes her mind and say's "I want ALL the Princesses" so I find a picture of all 7 princesses....Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and Mulan. What does she tell me? "Mulan is not a real Princess, Nana!" I'm like
what? and say "well, now she is!"
Just wanted to share.
Kids are a riot. My son wanted a pirate ship and a space theme this April for his 5th bday. When I told him we could only do one and save the other for next year he asked if we could have a space ship crashing into a pirate ship! Silly boy. ![]()
I had a request last year to do a half and half sheetcake and it nearly killed me! I did one half Shark Boy & Lava Girl and the other half to celebrate a political party... one that I don't like. So not only was the cake very ugly, but I found very little enjoyment in the process. You definitely don't want these types of cakes in your portfolio. I took a shot of it, but haven't shared with anyone!

You have my deepest sympathies!
The big open book cake with both stories on each page...
Barnie on one page and Snowhite on the other one...
I didn't read all the responses to this topic, so forgive me if someone had a similar/same idea as this one.
What about Snow White on one side holding a banner, with Barney holding it on the opposite side that says, "Happy __th Birthday, _____ !" ?
I don't have any new ideas to add, but if you're taking votes,
I like the last two ideas best. The book pan with S.W. on one side and Barney on the other; and the Banner idea with one character holding each side of the banner.
Just my 2 cents worth. Good Luck!
