My hubbie bought me the Confetti Cakes book by Elisa Strauss that was released today, for my birthday! It is fantastic and she even included recipes! It's better than I was hoping! You all have to pick one up when you can!

What a wonderful gift from a friend! I think it's a little less expensive on Amazon.com (24.95 vs. $30 in stores), but then there's shipping. I asked a bookstore about it yesterday and they said although they had them in-stock, they couldn't put them on the shelves until this morning since today was the "official" release date....dumb rule, but I see some of you were able to get them yesterday.....yeah!!! The entire book is pretty much all fondant work, but I'm going to adapt a lot of her ideas to buttercream. She's such a talented girl!

I LOVE Elisa Strauss. First saw her on Children's Birthday Cake Challenge. She did a Sock Monkey that was TOO CUTE! Of course that was also the first time I saw Marina too! They are both so cute and their cakes are to die for!
