this is my first sculpted cake - for a friend's housewarming, and since this is MD and this weeken also is Preakness, I thought Black-eyed Susans would be fun. What do you think?

That is really pretty. Are you posting this on the web? I just ask becaus i think you might want to move the logo down or make it lighter. It takes away from the beauty of the cake...

thanks for all your comments. I've been told to keep the logo conspicuous to stop anyone from taking the picture to use as an example of their own work. Not sure WHY someone would do it, but apparantly people do.

who'd have thought it, huh?

Looks too good to eat! You are very talented! You would never guess that this is your first sculpted cake. This is a very pretty design, you should be very proud. I'm sure it will be a big hit!

I took the cake to the party yesterday. We put it on the table with all the other food. I felt great when several people told me that they hadn't realized it was a cake! icon_biggrin.gif
