It's very pretty!! It's not gloomy at all. I think the only reason he's saying that is because the flowers look like one of those round arrangements. However, I didn't think it until you put what he said. Otherwise it's a pretty cake with beautiful purple flowers.
I would definately post it in your pics!!!
It was for a Pastor and his Wife's Church Anniversary. I guess he was thinking because the flowers were in a round shape, like a funeral wreath or something. I don't know, but, I will post it in my pics.
You all are the experts, not him!
i think it's a lovely cake that is appropriate for a funeral because it doesn't use bright colors and too bold a design. i can imagine it being used as a mother's day cake too or the birthday cake of a nice, respected, old lady. i mean these all to be compliments!
i wish i could make such a lovely cake too.
It is a great cake! Tell your DH to stay out of the Medicine cabinet. (just joking) Definately doesn't look funerally to me. The flowers are georgous!
Beautiful cake, by all means, post the pic. Great Job!! ![]()
I kind of do think that it looks like a funeral cake. I think it's the writing surrounded by the flowers. It looks kind of like a last tribute to someone kind of thing. However, it think it's really pretty and doesn't look gloomy at all. Your writing is so good and straight. I can't ever achieve that.
Thanks you all for taking the time to post. I am going to post it, but I did want to know if anyone thought as he did. Also, thanks so much for the compliments!!
Heck no it doesn't look like a funeral cake but I'm thinking it may remind him of one because of the plaque on the front - as if it's flush to the ground and flowers surround it. Or maybe he subconsciencely remembers seeing something similar at a funeral he attended. Who knows... but Hubbys... gotta love 'em don't ya?
It's a pretty cake! I bet it tastes great too!
I think it's very classy looking..not gloomy at all!
