I thought I would share this with everyone!! I just got an email from the event co-ordinator at a Center for grieving children (Seasons Center) in my town. She saw my website and has asked me if I'd be interested in making all the cakes, cookies, desserts for their 5th annual boat cruise to raise money for the children! There are 200 women on the boat cruise and it is heavily advertised in the media! AHHHH I'm so excited! It's July 5th so she is going to send me all the information and then I will provide her with a quote! If anyone has any ideas of fun desserts or cake/cookie ideas please share!!!

Did she give you a theme to work with? Or are you on your own to decide what you want to make?

Let's see, 200 women + 400 business cards = 600 potential new customers!

Send them your best work! Make sure you ask your customers where they heard about you, and let us know how many new clients you got out of this job!

Sooo awesome!!! How exciting for you! So this event is put on by an agency that helps greiving kids? Will there be kids there? I would think anything happy...anything to make them smile...bold, bright, summer colors...big happy flowers....I am excited to see what ya do!!!

I don't think the kids will be there ...she said there are 200 women that pay to go on the cruise and eat and drink and stuff! I'll just make sure the stuff is super cute! Does anyone know a good way to make caramel apples covered in candy? I think that would be fun to add to the desert table! and marshmallows covered in chocolate and candy!

If they don't give you a theme, I would go with the cruise theme, to play up the event so they really feel like they were on a cruise icon_smile.gif. Keep us updated!
