ooooo I LOVE scones. but have only made them a few times.

I have made one out of the Better HOmes and Gardens Cookbook (the red and white checkered one) and LOVED it. Chocolate chip I think was the recipe I made.

I've never met a low-fat scone that I liked though. LOL.

I have a yummy recipe for chocolate chip scones that is very easy to make. Unfortunately I don't have time to get the recipe right now because I have to go to work. You can PM me with your email if you would like me to send it to you.

I don't have a specific recipe for you but all I can say is in Ireland and England a traditional serving suggestion is to make them bite size and put strawberry preserves and whipped cream on top! Soooo good that way!

I make scones quite a bit. I'm not sure I want to give out the recipe or anything (It's not that I wouldn't give it to CCers per se but for your boss, that's differenticon_smile.gif )but I'll tell you that I use heavy cream and buttermilk for my liquid. That makes them very soft thumbs_up.gif

oh, also just want to add that when you're working with them, treat the dough kinda like you would pie dough. Don't over work it, make sure you keep the ingredients cold, etc...
