So I answered an ad on Craigslist for a couple who already have cakes ordered through Costco and just need a decorator to help them with fondant decorations for a film/movie theme decor. They are both in that industry. The cakes are 3 - 10" cakes on a sprial cake stand. They want to do the film in fondant either as border or as decoration and then draping down to each cake to connect theme. Then they want 2 directors chairs and a film camera in fondant/gumpaste as their cake toppers. I have every confidence that I can get this done!
I am meeting with them tomorrow to go over details and price. What should I take and have prepared so that I can be as professional as possible - I have never done anything like this before?
Also, what the heck do I charge them for the doing the decorations?

Ok, I have not done this either and I do not work enough with fondant, but I will guess that your post got lost yesterday, I think that happens.
So everything you have listed I have seen on some other cakes, I was trying to do a couple of searches and that function is not working well right now.
As far as getting ready for the demo, I have a tread I am watching that might help, I just have to find it.
